Saying Goodbye to Friends

Our wonderful church friends and their super cool kiddos!

CC & SP with Taylor and Brady. The first friends we met after our move to the mid west 3 years ago. Brady is SP's best buddy!

Lauren is SP's good friend from pre-school and kindergarten.

It's always hard to say goodbye and move on every couple of years. It's one of the pitfalls of being a military family. We had a wonderful time and made wonderful memories in the mid-west. We hope to see our dear friends again! Love you all! :)

Currently Without A Home

It's sad to see our house so empty! We are currently without a home. :( We're heading to the northeast in a couple of days for my husband's new military assignment. We're driving there in 2 cars, with our 2 kiddos and a puppy dog. We're taking our time so we're stretching our drive over a 3 night/4 day period. I don't think my kiddos can handle more then 6 hours a day stuck in the car and not drive their poor mom crazy! Did I mention they're riding in my car (and not in my husband's) for the entire trip north! :P

Not Such A Happy Weekend

Boxes galore!

Five photos on how to wrap your kiddos so they won't break during a move!

This is what happens to a spouse if he spills his coffee on the beige carpet during a move!

A very nervous pup!

Without toys the next best thing is balancing on moms hands.

Delicious Oreo cookies!

The photos looked like we had a blast this past weekend...oh, I so wish we had! The kids were stressed! The parents were stressed! We left church service early today due to excess whining. I think when I lost it was the spilled coffee on the carpet! Taking photos of the kids helped make our long weekend more interesting! :) Can't wait until we're in a normal routine again! :P

Crazy Cake's Readoption & Another Military Move!

Waiting to see the Judge!

Our Spiky Doo took this photo.

Since photos were not allowed during the hearing, this one was taken afterwards.

One with our attorney.

The judge asked SD what he thought of his little sister and he got an ear full! From "She's okay." to "We can't understand her!" :) This photo of SD was after the hearing with his beloved Webkin German Sheppard. I believe he loves that darn dog more than his sister! :)

After 3 years...we on the move again. CC decided to help with the packing after her re-adoption.

Unfortunately we never saw her again! :) Just kidding!

We have readopted CC just in time! We are packing out our house tomorrow and heading to the east coast in August! It's been an exciting and fun filled 3 years in the mid-west, but the military says it's time to move on! We have fond memories of this area and it's possible we may head back this way again when Chris retires from the military in 5 years!

Give Me an Ear, Give Me a Mouth, What do you get?

CC looking like Potato Head Girl!

She cracks me up!

CC loves to stick the body parts of Potato Head Man into any opening she can find! I'm concerned she'll poke the plastic ears in a little too far. But hey! I have to admit it's pretty funny to see her looking like this! :)

Ham'in it up!

On our way home!

We flew down to Houston for a long weekend to see family. It was the first time for most of my husband's family had a chance to meet Crazy Cakes. We had a great time and the kids had fun playing with all their cousins! School Girl met us in Houston and had a great time too! She was able to score tickets to two of the Astro's home games, and even had time to meet up with an old flame from high school. :)

2 Lil' Guangxi Girls meet again!

CC (13 months) & Lindie (10 months) at the Guanghzou Zoo, China on 11/6/07

Our Guangxi travel mates ~ Jodi, Jon & Lindie

The girls enjoy the piano!

Lindie not too sure of CC's Daddy! :0)

During a recent visit to our area Jodi, Jon & family stopped by for a visit. It was so much fun getting our Guangxi girls together again! It had been 6 months since our adoption trip to China and it amazed us all to see how much the girls had changed during that time. Out of all the Yulin City girls, Lindie & CC had the least amount of hair, so the biggest physical difference we all noticed right off the bat was how much their hair had grown over the past 6 months. But as the girls started playing what we really noticed was their wonderful little personalities! The girls were so animated and fun to watch. :) We were lucky to have another chance to see our travel mates again! Thank you Jodi & Jon for stopping by!
